1.Application：
Planetary strander is mainly used for stranding control cable, signal cable, computer cable, etc., which can be used for twisting steel core aluminum strand, bare copper, bare aluminum wire, etc.
2.Difference from rigid strander:
The difference of this machine compared to the tubular or rigid strander is that reels carrying the wires that form the conductor, are able to rotate and translate avoiding unwanted torsions and twisting that are critical in the application of wire shields. The speed of these machines is not comparable to the speed of bunchers.
3.Characteristic：
Planetary Stranders/Cablers are cage type machines with backtwist (fixed or variable).
They utilizes the principle of stranding/cabling by minimizing the twisting of bar wire/insulated conductors around their own axis.
Planetary machines are designed in 2 versions: Light duty (L/D), for cabling insulated conductors with low bobbin weight and; heavy duty (H/D), for stranding bare wire with high bobbin weight.
The cage of a planetary machine can be set in one of 3 modes:
Pure Planetary
Variable backtwist
Rigid
When running in a pure planetary mode, the cradle rotates one full revolution for every rotation of the cage in a direction opposite to that of the cage. The variable backtwist mode is programmed to compensate for lay length (pitch) and direction. In the rigid mode, the cradles are locked to the cage.
Planetary machine lines can be configured to assemble:
Concentrically instrument / Data / Control cables
Apply high tensile steel wire armouring
Strand transmission elements, i.e. OPGW, ACSR
Flexible conductors
Machine parameters are digitally monitored and controlled via a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a menu driven touch screen so that at each stage the operator is guided to obtain the desired machine operation.
4.Technical parameter：
Stranding cage included 6 bobbin,12 bobbin,18 bobbin, 24 bobbin,30 bobbin, 36 bobbin, 42 bobbin,48 bobbin.Any two adjacent cage can be combined. like you want produce 31 wire. choose 1+12+18 bobbin enough.
5.Steel wire amoured use(planetary type steel wire armouring machine):
The machine is used for CU, Al & steel wires or flat armouring
and Cu- screening of the cables. Multiwire screening of medium and high voltage conductors.
main cage includes:42 bobbin, 48 bobbin, 12+12 bobbin,18+18 bobbin,24+24 bobbin,36+36 bobbin,42+42 bobbin, 48+48 bobbin.
6.Planetary stranding machine use for steel wire rope:
General professional steel wire rope production equipment is very expensive. In order to save costs, some manufacturers purchase planetary stranding machine to replace professional equipment. At this time, the structural strength of the common planetary stranding machine is not enough, so it need to strengthen the structure of the cage.like picture below:
