# Carriage description :
The carriage is composed of 4 rows of 6 reels at 90°, mounted on two bearings.
The carriage is individually driven by DC motor with a 4 quadrant thyristor speed control for acceleration and deceleration (electrical shaft with capstan - numerical regulation).
The carriage is braked pneumatically, using servo valves synchronised with the regenerative braking of the motor (POURTIER patent). Thanks to this system the power rating of motor is reduced.
The carriage is equipped with motoreducer for inching (cage positioning for loading operations) in addition to the main motor drive.
Cabling lay setting on control desk per mm.
Acceleration time : 80 seconds (from zero to maximum speed)
Deceleration time : 10 seconds mini
# Reel loading / unloading :
Reels are taken between pintles, one fixed, one pneumatically actuated.
The pintles for one complete row are actuated at the same time.
A special mechanical safety device insures locking of the movable pintle while the machine is running.
The pintles are cylindrical and the reels are taken on the cylindrical face of central bore.
# Wire tension control :
The reels are pneumatically braked (disc brake) with possibility of braking pressure adjustments while the machine is running from the control panel
Tension is adjustable between 7 kg and 35 kg.
One reel per carriage is equipped with a feeler arm which enable :
- Constant braking tension via a proportional valve
- Adjust the speed of the carriage when copper reel weight is close to the aluminium weight.
# Wire break detection :
Each reel is equipped with an inductive detector stopping the machine via a break control box placed on the carriage, when the reel does not rotate due to wire break.
# End reel detection :
Ensured by the feeler arm via a switch detector.
# Wires assembling :
Wires are assembly at the outlet of the machine on a lay plate or a preforming head (optional) and through the die of the cabling block.
# Soundproof cover :
With soundproof cabin for the carriage transmission.
The cover is equipped with necessary inspection glass & windows and air circulation.
The clutch between the cage drive motor and the loading motor reducer is electromechanical.
# Bore of passage
Bore of passage 125 mm standard without tandem mode.
Bore of passage for wires (tungsten carbide eyelet) : 12 mm.
# Maxi geared rotation speeds :
In balanced loading condition with full reels 630 mm x 475 mm :
215 rpm with aluminium reels
145 rpm with copper reels
250 rpm with empty reels.
